Don Wales gave the January issue deadline as December 22, 2004
Day Tours/Lessons
Pam Ralston reported that Day Tours are scheduled and in the newsletter. There are some open Sundays so if any club member wants to lead a day tour contact Pam. You do not need to be a tour leader, just a skiing enthusiast.
Lessons start On Tuesday January 11, 2005 at Great Chief Park. The City of Red Deer is taking registration and the club pays for the lights and a small administration fee.
Mountain Tours
The Elk Lake Tour has two openings left. The Fondue Foray has 12 people registered but there is more room.
New Business
Bob Johnstone has been coordinator of the loppett for many years and has been sure to have a quality event ready for participants but is unable to do this for this year. The club supported the executive suggestion that the club organize the Loppett this year. Volunteer organizers are needed and helper on the day as well. There are clear job descriptions for the organizers. The date is February 5th at Riverbend Golf Course.
There will be a progressive dinner on January 2, 2005 starting at Rotary Park with a ski to Don and Maries then more skiing in the park to Pam and Dons. After more skiing the skiers will go to Dick and Connies. Don Wales will lead the ski.
Web Site
Dick is asking for more pictures for the website. Please send in to him after any of the trips and he will post them. This makes the website interesting and alive.
The meeting ended at 8:15 and everyone moved to the toboggan hill for fun and hot chocolate around the fire that Brian and Carol were tending.
