General Meeting Minutes – Feb. 9 2010

REPORTS:

Past Pres. - Don Wales – Thanks to the members that helped with the ski lessons. There were 39 registered for lessons.

Treasurer – Dick P. - Ski lessons net $1400. Balance of Parkland XC Ski Club account is $6464. See treasurers report for more detail.

Vice Pres. - Vance B. - Snow caving course for TL1 at the end of the month. Vance has booked Blanket Glacier for next year. Feb. 19 – 26.

Mountain tour Chairman – Steve I. - Skoki trip is full. Sask Toe trip is full. Healy Pass trip has a few spots. The Family Fun Weekend also has space available.

Newsletter - Brian Davies - no comments except Brian could use a little more material to publish.

Publicity - Richard T. - no report.

Day Tours – Linda D. – Craig Olson’s day trip is going to Shark Mtn., instead of Cooking Lake.

Social – Pat Gleason – Thanks to Sally Parsons and Steve Davies for snacks.

New Business
Motion by Steve Irwin “that family membership (defined as 1 or 2 adult memberships living at the same address along with children under 20 years of age) be raised by $10 to $50.00.’’ Motion was carried.

Thursday March 11, the Hostel Association is having a meeting in Red Deer to discuss direction of Hostels. Interested parties are invited to attend this meeting.

Next Exec Meeting is February 23 at Steve Irwin’s.
