Pat opened the meeting at 7:00.
OLD BUSINESS:
Election of New Executive:
Pat thanked the departing executive: Don Wales, Newsletter Editor (absent), Karen Weisgerber, Publicity (absent), Claude Sam, Mountain Tours, and Nicole Sam, Secretary. Pat presented Claude & Nicole with two mugs created by Judy Morrison.
Pat invited nominations for the following positions:
1. President: Pats decision to stay another year was met with warm applause.
2. Vice-President: Claude Sam and Dick Pawloff nominated Don Wales in his absence, and it was unanimously accepted provided Don agrees on his return from holidays.
3. Secretary: Peggy Birse nominated Bonnie Robertson who promptly agreed.
4. Mountain Tours: Claude Sam & Jenni Duke nominated Mike Spencer who readily accepted.
5. Newsletter: Marilyn Strilchuk nominated Terry Ferster who is eager to fill the position.
6. Publicity: Since Dale Ferguson had previously mentioned that he was willing to take over this position, his nomination was accepted in his absence.
7. Social Directors: No nominations were received from the floor, so Carol & Brian have graciously accepted to stay on for another year.
8. Webmaster: Dick Pawloff agreed to stay on another year as well.
All the above nominations were unanimously accepted, and Pat congratulated the new executive.
Jenni Duke, Treasurer and Pam Ralston, Day Tours/Lessons, agreed to complete their second year in their respective positions, and Pat acknowledged their contribution. Everyone was happy to see that for the first time in years, the Club has a full executive elected before the new season starts.
NEW BUSINESS:
Woodys RV Marathon:
On behalf of Woodys RV Marathons organizers, Bob Johnstone put in a request for four volunteers to manage a feeding station at River Bend on Sunday, May 22, from 8:30 to 10:30 am. Please call Bob for details.
Financial Report:
Jenni completed the year-end financial report and the March Treasurers Report. The Club lost about $200 this year, despite the income generated by the lessons instructed by Don Wales at Great Chief Park. Both reports were available for perusal.
Bob Johnstone added that Dons Sportsman of the Year Award was well deserved because of his remarkable contribution to the club and to the community at large.
Pat adjourned the meeting at 7:30 after thanking the membership and wishing everybody a great summer.
