Treasurer
Jenni reported that we have $440.00 in our general account. Room rental for our general meetings
Costs $465.00.
Jenni moved and Mike seconded the motionthat room rental be paid out of the Loppitt fund

Jenni also reported that mailing of the newsletter is a major expense for the club and would like to see more members receive the newsletter by e-mail.
Mountain Tours
Mike requested that the mountain tour report at general meetings be preceded by the day tour/lessons report. Rationale for this request was that Pat would provide a friendlier presentation (will not be discussing avalanches and crevasses) and is able to schmooze for our newer members J
Mike reported that a tour to Beauty Creek has been added to the mountain tour list . It will be held November 18-20 and lead by Bob and Brian. The cost for this trip is $14.00/day.
17 people have already booked for Shunda Creek.
Dick recommended changing the rating for the Egypt Hut tour from strong beginner to intermediate.
Executive reminded that our ski waxing clinic will be held November 6th at Pams.

Carol reported all is well she has volunteers and everybody is happy!

Newsletter:
Terry reported that the next newsletter is 80% complete. He is just waiting on the Presidents report
ACTION Pat to get report to Terry by the end of this week. Should Pat be unable to meet this deadline, Don very kindly offered to write one for him.
Terry also requested members send in photographs and articles. He would love to have a bank of photos/articles to choose from.
Dick commended Terry on his first newsletter very well done! Members especially enjoyed his editorial and the kit list.
In this next newsletter Terry was requested to:
1. Update Pats e-mail address
2. Keep the membership form as a separate page
3. Use only first names and last initial (if needed) in the newsletter because it is on the web.
4. Include in this newsletter a notice for members pay fees or you will stop getting newsletter.
Day Tours/Lessons
Pam reported that three people have agreed to run a day tour (Jane Davies, Pat Gleason, Carol+ Brian). She would be happy to hear from more volunteers.
Don has agreed to run lessons again this year. They will run Tues/Thursdays starting Jan. 12 at Riverbend under the lights. Mike volunteered to help. At least one more volunteer is needed. Pam will arrange to have the lessons advertised again at the trail heads.
Webmaster
Dick reported that he has renewed and paid for our domain name.
Dick recommended that Terry store the historical books of the club as they may give be a good source of info. for the newsletter.
Dick also recommended we continue with the photo of the month contest. We need to talk this up at meetings and in the newsletter.
NEW BUSINESS:
NAMS aka courses classy classes
Carol reported on Brians behalf.
A first aid course will be held November 4-6 at the Mitchner center. Cost for the course will be approximately $60.00 (depending on the # of participants). Carol will use membership list that Jenni will forward (hint, hint) to call people. Mike will also help contact members. Registration deadline October 31. Maximum # of registrants: 14.
Brian will also be offering the Maps and Compass and GPS course before Christmas.
Courses to be offered after Christmas include Avalanche Beacon and Avalanche Awareness. Sign up sheets will be available for the various courses at the next general meeting.
General Meetings
Membership discussed taking a rest from wolf howl events for this year and instead offering information/tips on touring : clothing/food/weather for the December meeting.
